This map art print is based on my plein air painting created on top of a USGS map in Ouray, Colorado. It features Mount Abrams overlooking the Uncompahgre River in autumn, when the San Juan Mountains start to shift and the whole valley picks up that warm fall color.

I love map pieces because they hold the story of the place in two ways at once: the landscape you can feel, and the geography that pins it to a real location.
