Sedona Storm Original Painting

Sedona Storm is an original acrylic painting that started on a stormy day at Airport Lookout in Sedona. I painted it plein air while the sky was shifting fast, then brought it back to my studio to finish and refine it.

What I love about that spot is the contrast: the red rock glow against a moody, building sky. This piece leans into that tension between warm desert color and cool storm light. It’s for anyone who’s been to Sedona and felt how intense the weather can get, or for someone who just wants a Southwest landscape with a little edge to it.
