Twilight Peak Original Painting

Twilight Peak is an original acrylic painting of that view from Coal Bank Pass on Highway 550, when the Needle Range suddenly opens up and everything feels big and sharp and unreal for a second. I painted this one plein air in 2022, then brought the energy of that moment into the finished piece with bold color, strong contrast, and a lot of movement in the sky.
